Bara Imambara
Built in the year 1784 by the fourth Nawab of Awadh, Asaf-ud-Daula, Bara Imambara was a project initiated to provide employment to the people affected by the famine. Reflecting the Mughal style of architecture, Bara Imambara boasts of the world’s largest hall built without supporting pillars. Tomb of the Nawab Asaf-ud-Daula is located here.

Rumi Darwaza
Also known as the Turkish Gateway, Rumi Darwaza was built by the nawab Asaf-ud-Daula in 1784. It resembles the gateway in Constantinople. Its arresting carvings are a treat to the eyes.

British Residency Lucknow
It is a famous landmark of the city. An abode of around 3000 Britishers during the Sepoy Mutiny of 1857, this historic structure is in ruins now. It has been declared as the protected monument by the Archaeological Survey of India.

Chattar Manzil
This awesome complex reflecting the European architecture makes it one of the most popular tourist attractions of Lucknow. Located on the banks of the Gomti River, it was built by the Nawabs of the city and was once the palace of the Awadh rulers.

Jama Masjid
Its beautiful design and architecture make it a must-see attraction of the city. It was built by Sultan Ahmed Shah in 1423.

Moti Mahal
A famous monument of Lucknow, Moti Mahal is also known as the Palace of Pearls. It was once the palace of the Nawabs where they used to spend their free time.

Shopping in Lucknow
